Follow up Essays: My Dreams as the Context of a Personal Essay
There is a type of assignments, where a certain phrase should be used as the main context of the paper, e.g. I want to be, my perfect vacation was, my first day in, and others. Our last assignment was writing an essay on my dreams, where “my dream” was the key phrase.
The essay “My Dream” had the main idea of writing about hopes and ambitions, using variations of the key phrase. This article shows a typical approach that might be used in such essays, based on the essay “My Dream”.
The first recommendation is that the essay’s “my dream” combination should not be overused at the expense of the essay’s logic. The ideal option is in using the key phrase as a topic sentence at the beginning of each paragraph. Such essays have the main purpose in developing imagination and creativity as well as the ability to express them in an essay. My dream, as a key phrase, is just an indicator of the direction, toward which the essay should be developed.
The essay on my dreams can be classified as a personal descriptive essay, and thus, it should outline the personal significance of the analyzed points. In such essay, my dreams should have larger meaning, which should be connected to the main thesis of the paper. Generally, writing such essays, my dreams were expressed in the form of short arguments that support the thesis. In our case, the thesis was stated as an answer to the question “why I am devoted to follow my dream of becoming a lawyer”. Thus, each paragraph in the essay on my dreams was a part of the answer to such question.
