Women empowerment is a critical part of contemporary society to unravel the problems posited by past generations that kept females subjugated. While there are notable women that have achieved greatness in the past, they did so amidst widespread dissent and hardships. Women play an integral role in society and should not be delegated to specific tasks based on a biased notion of gender relations (Zastrow et al., 2019). Understanding the relationship between women’s empowerment, especially for women of color, is crucial for developing a stable society that does not hinder anyone’s growth but promotes equity among its citizens.
Women’s empowerment alleviates the burden of taking care of part of society without the tools to provide for themselves. Traditional societies claimed that women were inferior to their male counterparts (Zastrow et al., 2019). This notion has been disproved in modern societies, beginning in the second world war when women had to enter the workforce. Integrating a more considerable force into the workplace boosted production, a trait evident in contemporary countries as they have continually sought gender balance at work. Therefore, allowing women to work in similar positions as men gives them financial freedom (Zastrow et al., 2019). They can take care of their households and do not pose a burden to their families and governments.
Racial consideration in the workplace should reduce any distinction between people from varying regions and origins. Such a workplace would be diverse and take advantage of the different ideas posited by its members. Promoting hiring women of color at the same rate as their white counterparts provides them with more significant revenues (Zastrow et al., 2019). They gain financial freedom and can provide for their households.
Women empowerment and race relations have a convoluted way of operating that lead to erroneous workplace considerations. Organizations will likely pay women less for similar roles as their male counterparts. Furthermore, gender discrimination sees men progress faster than women in the organization, getting better positions while women are relegated to human relations management (Zastrow et al., 2019). This can fuel resentment as some people consider themselves underutilized and unappreciated due to gender.
World affairs have changed drastically recently to encompass greater inclusion for women and people of color in organizations. Changing perceptions have a prominent role in contemporary societies as they are vital to maintaining a gender-balanced workforce. Including people from different races and genders further provides the company with greater insight into market conditions and customer preferences. Furthermore, societies are more inclined to believe men and women have equal capacity and potential to lead organizations. This positive notion of environmental conditions has enabled women to join the workforce while their wages increase gradually. Continuing this trend will result in a world with minimal discrimination cases involving gender relations.
Lack of foundational acknowledgment of the equal nature of males and females can cause regression in progress toward gender balance in the workplace. Afghanistan is a prime example of the possibility that people may lose progress if there is sufficient pressure from opposing forces. It is prudent to note that inadequate and frail support for women empowerment and erosion of race relations at the workplace may cause regression in progressive policies aimed at protecting these groups. Companies’ managers can alter policies to favor one gender or race, making it a sensitive topic with the need for quasi-permanent policies that promote gender equality.
Women empowerment and race are fundamental issues in modern society with the need for progress. A growing number of people in society discern that such discrimination is immoral and impractical due to the biased nature of those propagating adverse actions towards the groups. Promoting women’s development in organizations enables them to obtain financial freedom and reduces the pressure on the government and families to take care of these vulnerable groups.
