Artificial intelligence has advanced in the past few decades, significantly impacting human life. Its application in all circles of life has influenced the development of fear on how its continued application in human life would impact life and humanity. Historically, the development of artificial intelligence has been linked to easing human efforts and posing numerous threats to humanity if technology is not controlled. Researchers on the impacts of artificial intelligence have shown complex reactions to how such technology can influence human society. Thamik and Wu argue that AI offers numerous social, cultural, and ethical challenges for people, societies, and organizations that endanger the sustainable development of economies (3568). Majumdar and Chattopadhyay state that the development of AI has led to significant changes in the society with some entangled challenges that threaten human rights leading to societal changes with different implications (308). The advancement in AI is simultaneously making human life more interesting and complicated as the technologies enhance human knowledge and capabilities, enabling them to overexploit their potential in its use. There are three probable statements show how AI has significantly influenced human life in a complicated manner. Firstly, the perception of AI is used in most existing systems because weak AI provides an insight into how strong AI can have massive adjustments in human life. (Tai 339). Secondly, the diverse uses of artificial intelligence that range from automation, machine learning, natural language processing, and robotics have significant benefits to human life, which are accompanied by numerous challenges that may be dangerous (Tai 340). Finally, extensive use and application of AI are linked to reduced human interaction, unemployment, economic inequalities, and reduced technology control, where policies and ethics need to be developed to control AI development and ensure that technology is under human control.
